My Wearable Art is inspired by what I see and collect. It tells a story of place- a seedpod, shell or some plant fibre from a holiday destination. Or a locality can inspire a creation- a rock pool by the sea. I use basketry skills and ephemera to create work,or use ceramics and resin- embedding found objects to last and tell their own story.

Pendants, Earrings, Brooches and Hair clips can be made to order. You may like to incorporate an item of significance into the work to make a meaningful and truly unique piece of wearable art. Contact me for ideas on commissions and for a very reasonable rate.

Textiles- Wearable Art

These dresses have been hand stitched using fabric scraps , remnants, found emphemera, and tresured pieces that tell a story of location or a person. They are also a small attempt to prevent more fabric waste going to land fill. The stitched hat is made entirely from ‘rubbish’- bailing twine rescued from a farm and a milk bottle cap. The internal seams have been stitched on a sewing machine.
